Clinical overview

Worried about implant surgery, stitches, swelling, or recovery? For suitable patients, digitally guided implant surgery can make implant placement more precise and minimally invasive.

Using your 3D CBCT and digital intraoral scan, we can plan the implant position on a computer before the procedure. A customized surgical guide then helps us transfer this planned position accurately to your mouth.

In selected cases, the implant can be placed through a small opening in the gum without requiring stitches. This is known as flapless or stitch-free implant surgery.

Not every implant should be placed using a stitch-free approach. If bone grafting or another surgical technique would provide a safer or more predictable result, we will recommend that instead. At Implant Square Dental, the technique is chosen around what is best for you—not the other way around.

Not every implant should be placed using a stitch-free approach. If bone grafting or another surgical technique would provide a safer or more predictable result, we will recommend that instead. After placement, the implant generally still needs time to integrate with the surrounding bone before the definitive tooth is completed.
